REPUBLICAN ASSEMBLYMEMBERS RUNNER, PLESCIA AND WALTERS ENDORSE JEANDRON FOR ASSEMBLY
PALM SPRINGS – Former Palm Springs Police Chief Gary Jeandron announced today that he has received the endorsement of Republican Assemblymembers, Sharon Runner, George Plescia and Mimi Walters in his campaign for the 80th Assembly District.
"I am excited to add endorsements of Assembly members Runner, Plescia and Walters to my list of supporters. Its humbling to know that my colleagues in Sacramento support the ideas that I have been communicating to the voters in my district, and that they support my efforts to solve some of the real issues that face our community and our state," said Chief Jeandron. The legislative endorsements add to a growing list of community leaders and local elected officials that have already endorsed Gary Jeandron, including Assemblywoman Bonnie Garcia and Senator Jim Battin.
Gary Jeandron is running to replace Bonnie Garcia in the Assembly. The District includes the cities of Indio, Palm Springs, Cathedral City, El Centro, Calexico, La Quinta, Coachella, Brawley, Desert Hot Springs, Blythe, Imperial, Calipatria, Holtville, and Westmorland. Assemblywoman Garcia is prohibited from running for re-election due to term limits.
Jeandron's service as the Police Chief of Palm Springs is coupled with his role as a member of the School Board for the Palm Springs Unified School District. He currently resides in Palm Springs with his wife Vicki.
