JEANDRON REPORTS MORE THAN $200,000 RAISED
Opponent Reports Less Than $200 Cash On Hand
PALM SPRINGS– Palm Springs Police Chief and candidate for Assembly Gary Jeandron reported raising more than $200,000 on his year end campaign report with $149,000 cash on hand. However, in a shock to political insiders, Jeandron's primary opponent Lupe Ramos Watson only reported $183.00 cash on hand (To view Jeandron's full report click here ).
"I want to thank everyone that has supported my campaign," said Jeandron. "I have worked hard in the last year meeting with community leaders gathering endorsements from around the district and the State. I am very proud of the fact that virtually every dollar raised has been raised in the community. Our message is resonating very well within the community and donors are really responding."
Jeandron is running to replace Bonnie Garcia in the Assembly. The district includes the cities of Indio, Palm Springs, Cathedral City, El Centro, Calexico, La Quinta, Coachella, Brawley, Desert Hot Springs, Blythe, Imperial, Calipatria, Holtville, and Westmorland. Assemblywoman Garcia is prohibited from running for re-election due to term limits.
Recently retired as Police Chief, Jeandron currently serves as a School Board Member for the Palm Springs Unified School District, as well as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He currently resides in Palm Springs with his wife, Vicki.
